Fox News Continues To Dominate CNN & MSNBC

Fox News Channel blows CNN & MSNBC out of the water, week after week, month after month. Liberals like to say it's because they provide great entertainment; they're always so sarcastic about Fox News, labeling the network as "Faux News" or "Fox noise." Go on any Conservative or Liberal forum, start a thread about Fox News, and you'll soon be in a heated debate about the legitimacy of the network. The left also likes to say that Fox isn't news. Well if it isn't news, what the hell is it?

Fox News is pulling big ratings because they're critical of President Obama. They investigate, fact check and call attention to stories the other networks refuse to cover. In a time when the public so desperately needs gritty investigative journalism, CNN, MSNBC, The New York Times and other print rags are busy defending Obama no matter what. The main stream media is in bed with the Obama administration - even worse than when Clinton was President. This is obvious to those who observe the different channels and read the newspaper.

The media has covered (for the most part) for Barack Obama since the beginning. The sad reality is that, if the media did its job, Obama probably wouldn't be President right now. If they reported on Obama's unsavory ties & affiliations since the beginning, McCain, as bad of a candidate as he was, would have won. President Obama is their golden cow.

Yet, in spite of the media's adoration of President Obama, his ratings continue to sink; thanks to Fox News and alternative media outlets, such as the Internet.

Until the main stream media starts covering legitimate stories, and holding the Obama administration accountable, Fox News will continue to smash them in the ratings department. To save face and credibility, eventually, they'll have to.

Ron Paul Is The Past - His Message Is The Future

Ron Paul is about an honest politician as you can get. You can't even really call him a politician; he's more of a statesman.

I would have supported Ron Paul during the Republican primary, if it were not for his foreign policy platform. Quite frankly, in this day and age, it's not the way to go. I agree with Ron Paul that we shouldn't be policing the world - though America is a super power, and we should be leading and setting an example for the rest of the world - and we DO live in a dangerous world; it's reality. Terrorism is a real threat.

Now, his monetary policy; that I can agree with. His economic platform is very enticing to a lot of Conservatives, including myself. Overall, Ron Paul is a good man and his intentions are commendable.

I'm seeing a lot of talk on-line about Ron Paul running for President again. Not a good idea. Unfortunately, Ron Paul is getting up there in age and lacks charisma. It would be election suicide for Republicans for Ron Paul to put his hat in the Republican primary. It would just be dividing the party - like what happened in '08; Ron Paul's ideas about foreign policy are that much different than the base of the party. A significant portion of Republicans see Paul as a defeatist. That doesn't sit well with them.

If the Republicans could get a younger, charismatic Conservative, who stands for Paul's message about economics, they would have a winner, or at the very least give Obama a run for his money. Ron Paul can be credited for starting a Libertarian/Conservative movement within the Republican party, but he's just too old. That's the reality of the situation.

Libertarians need to get over the past, and not treat Ron Paul as Obama fanatics treat President Obama. Ron Paul's message is what's important, and he'll be the first one to tell you that.

The Republican party needs a young, charismatic, fresh face for the 2012 election.

My Political Views

I guess you could classify me as an Independent Conservative. I am an individualist first. I believe in small, limited Government, less taxes and more freedom. I am a strong proponent of the second amendment. I believe in the free market. That's just a broad overview which scratches the surface. Of course, I have a lot of complex ideas/beliefs about a whole range of issues; perhaps I'll expand on them sometime in the future. To make a long story short, for all you Liberals out there; I am a card carrying member of the evil VRWC! I stand for everything you are against.

President Obama inspired me to create this blog. I'm sure I'll have a lot of good stuff to rant about for the next 3 years - possibly more! In short, I have not really agreed with President Obama on a damn thing he's done thus far; the stimulus bill, the health care reform debate, cap & trade, his ideas on immigration reform, expanding Government; the whole lot of it!

Luckily his poll numbers are sinking. Americans are starting to wake up. Even a big portion of those who voted for the man now realize, his hope and change message that he preached about in the run-up to the election was hardcore rhetoric. Feeling scammed? I don't know whether to laugh in your face and tell you, "I told you so," or hand you a beer and talk about who will replace him come 2012!

Anyway, feel free to get enraged. Comment if you like. I believe in free speech, so your comments are welcomed.
